Overview

Hand sanitizer is a liquid that acts antimicrobial agent generally used to kill or inactivate infectious agents on the surface of hands .

Isopropyl alcohol:

it is also known as isopropanol and 2 – propanol , it used mainly for its antiseptic and disinfectant property . Isopropyl alcohol is used as surface disinfectant . Isopropyl alchol dissolves the plasma membrane of the bacteria by acting on the peptidoglycan .75% of alcohol takes time to evaporate from the surface thus increases the contact time . it also coagulates all the proteins of the microbes and microrganism dies .

Carbopol – 940:

it is a crosslinked polyacrylic acid polymer
it is Used as a viscosity enhancer or gelling agent in products where clarity or viscosity is required.
Uses:
acts as powerful, ph-sensitive thickener useful for making clear gels
side effects:
causes mild irritation .

Propylene glycol:

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a synthetic polymer produced by the polymerization of ethylene oxide molecules to make joining units of ethylene glycol by an ether linkage .PEGs are water-soluble polymers . It is used as moisturiser, shaving cream .
side effects:
weakens the skin cells
causes reproductive toxicity
allergies and mmune toxicity,

Aloevera:

aloe vera is used to soften the dry skin by forming the protective layer on the skin and kill germs in the hands.

How to Use

Rub the both the surface of hands together , around your fingers and nails . Rub it for 30 seconds .
